Particle material type rotary airlock valve: An efficient and reliable key equipment for powder conveying
In industrial fields such as modern chemical engineering, food, pharmaceuticals, plastics, building materials, and environmental protection involving continuous processing of powder and granular materials, granular material type rotary valve play a crucial role. It is an efficient and reliable mechanical device that integrates quantitative unloading and airtight air locking functions. It is the core component that ensures the smooth and stable operation of powder and granular materials in positive or negative pressure pneumatic conveying systems, dust removal systems, and material bin unloading processes.
The rotary airlock valve mainly undertakes two core tasks: feeding and air locking.
Regarding the feeding:Its core structure is a star shaped rotor with multiple blades (forming a "material grid" between the rotor blades), which rotates uniformly inside the valve body under the drive of a driving device (usually a motor reducer). The material falls into the rotating grid from the upper silo or equipment inlet, and as the rotor rotates to the bottom, the material is continuously and uniformly discharged from the valve body under the action of gravity, achieving precise and controllable continuous discharge or feeding function.
Regarding the air locking function:This is the key difference between it and ordinary valves. In the pneumatic conveying system, the rotary valve is installed between the silo and the conveying pipeline (or between the dust collector hopper and the ash discharge device). The precise clearance between the rotor and the shell, as well as the special sealing structure used at the end (such as wear-resistant sealing strips, airtight seals, etc.), can effectively block the pressure difference and gas flow between the upper and lower ends (silo/ash hopper and pipeline/atmosphere). This ensures that during positive pressure conveying, high-pressure gas is prevented from backflowing back into the silo, causing spraying, waste, or safety hazards. In negative pressure conveying or dust removal systems, external air is prevented from being sucked into the system, damaging the vacuum degree and affecting conveying efficiency or dust removal effect. At the same time, it prevents materials from being lifted by airflow during unloading, causing secondary dust.
